She's Moving On
Life it seems just hasn't been that good to her.
The years have left their mark upon her face.
She put her dreams on hold for over 20 years.
They slowly disappeared without a trace.
Now her kids are grown and her husband left with a younger girl.
They said she'd never make it on her own.
But she has a big surprise for both of them.
She's not starting over, she's just moving on.
She's not starting over, she's moving on.
Moving on back down that road that she'd once traveled on,
following wherever her heart led.
Never saying never, never looking back at all.
She's open to whatever lies ahead.
She's hoping for whatever lies ahead.
Bittersweet the passing of the life she knew.
She's sad but somehow happy just the same.
She starts each morning looking to a better day.
Not regretting, never placing blame.
Now she's picked up where she left off many years ago,
trying to find the dream she left behind.
She's stepping boldly out into the great unknown.
No, she's not starting over she's just moving on.
