Twenty years went by so fast. I was at work when I heard that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. I was able to find a live feed online and watched the second plane strike the other tower. Then the Pentagon and the realization that there was a fourth plane that was headed back towards Washington DC. In their arrogance the hijackers had allowed the passengers to use their cell phones so we all later heard "Let's Roll" as the passengers took matters into their own hands and brought down the last plane, sacrificing themselves to prevent the intended target from being hit. In the weeks that followed I sat at my piano and wrote this song. I recorded it the same day I wrote it. I will re-record it some day.
